The question has come up many about the origins of The Cracked Pig so snuggle in, it’s story time!

From 2012-2017 I was the author of the popular blog Mending the Piggy Bank. It became common to receive pig themed gifts and I started a really fun collection of vintage piggy banks and pig decor.

In December of 2016 I was in a rollover SUV accident with my young sons in the car. I had really bad PTSD and was having a really hard time returning to sharing my life online. I had just began really seeing a return on my time dabbling in crafting (hellllllllo all my OG stuffed elf customers) and made the decision to start stepping away from writing. ✍️

I knew I didn’t want a generic name (hard no on “Brianna’s Crafts”) and I had just found a cute vintage piggy bank. My then 4 year old did what 4 year olds do and promptly cracked the ear off — I glued it back on and went “Huh…. The Cracked Pig” 🐷

The rest was history!
