Description
If you’re a long-time follower of mine, you’ve likely heard about my 6 month best-friendship with my mailman. If not, here’s the backstory, last year I had an AWFUL mail-carrier whom I didn’t trust and therefore I went to the post office as many as 4 and 5 times a day to drop off my mountains of packages to be checked in because this previous carrier didn’t even take the time to scan my packages in when picking them up. I would say hello and he’d turn his nose up and walk briskly away — it made no sense to me since I always went out of my way to be friendly.
Fast forward to the spring and a new mail carrier knocked on my door to introduce himself. He said he heard I have a lot of packages sometimes (yes, daily, but I’d been dropping them off) and wanted to see how he could make my life easier — hallelujah!
Now we’re to the point he knocks on my door to check on me if I haven’t put my tote(s) out by 11 am or otherwise stopped mail service because we’re out of town. I’ve made him a custom sign to show my appreciation and tell him every chance I get that I truly do appreciate how much easier he’s made my day as a small business owner.
With Mr. Gray in mind, I have a new ornament so you can show YOUR mail carrier how much you appreciate them too this holiday season. This ornament has three layers of hand-glued, hand-painted wood and comes with a shimmery silver ribbon to make the metallic hubcaps.
